Overview

Designed and implemented a modern enterprise-grade IT infrastructure using Windows Server 2022 to centralize identity management, strengthen network security, and automate administrative operations. The solution leveraged Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) integrated with DNS for seamless authentication and name resolution across the organization.

A structured Organizational Unit (OU) hierarchy was created to organize departments efficiently and enable precise policy application. Group Policy Objects (GPOs) were implemented to standardize configurations, enforce security policies, and reduce manual IT effort.

Additionally, a reliable backup and disaster recovery strategy was implemented using Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, ensuring data protection, quick recovery, and business continuity.

Project Overview

Engineered and deployed a highly resilient, enterprise-grade network architecture utilizing a Fortinet FortiGate 60F firewall. This project was centered on transforming the organization's network into a highly available, secure, and optimized infrastructure capable of supporting seamless corporate operations and mitigating modern cyber threats.

Key Technical Implementations:

• SD-WAN & High Availability: Integrated dual ISP links (Jio and Spectra) into a robust SD-WAN architecture. Configured intelligent load balancing and automated failover routing to guarantee zero-downtime connectivity and optimize bandwidth for mission-critical applications.
• Strategic Network Segmentation: Designed and deployed isolated VLANs to separate corporate departments. This logical segmentation prevents broadcast storms, significantly minimizes the internal attack surface, and enables precise, department-level bandwidth allocation.
• Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW): Implemented comprehensive security protocols including strict IPv4 traffic rules, advanced intrusion prevention (IPS), deep application control, and stringent web filtering to actively block external threats and unauthorized access.
• Centralized Management & Monitoring: Leveraged the FortiOS dashboard to establish real-time visibility into the security fabric, active network sessions, and overall system health, allowing for rapid incident response and proactive maintenance.

The successful deployment of this infrastructure significantly reduced network latency, eliminated single points of failure, and established a fortified, future-proof security perimeter for the organization.
